A full renovation of this well proportioned apartment in a typical Georgian terraced house was required after years of neglect and poorly considered interventions. Consultations with listed building officers and detailed design allowed for contemporary additions that opened up the different floor levels and the access to the garden, whilst also reorienting the living accommodation to take advantage of views through the original windows to the gardens and river. Now there is a light, open plan, loft-like feel to the flat, hidden inside a historic property; and a flow from kitchen to garden, that is rare in properties of this age and type.
