LANSDOWN ROAD

BATH

A tired and neglected ground floor flat in a desirable listed double fronted Georgian townhouse was redesigned completely with a new contemporary extension added to the back which allowed for a property with a dual character: Georgian and historic in one half and modern in the other. The historic, listed areas were restored, with fireplaces reinstated, cornicing and panelling replaced and the new extension of uncompromisingly contemporary design with large expanses of glazing and a power floated concrete floor.

The large garden was re-landscaped with a new retaining wall of local Bath stone, while an old lean-to greenhouse was demolished and a new cedar-clad garden office built in its place.
