LARKHALL HOUSE
BATH
We were introduced to a lovely couple who had moved into a beautiful Bath townhouse; but it had a small, dark kitchen at the back that acted as a block to the garden. They asked us to give them ideas for how to create a clean-lined, modern looking space that would compliment the Georgian architecture but remain distinctive and sensitive to its context.
We worked with them and the local planners to refine the design and create a steel framed structure with a beautiful, feature roof. We introduced clean new bath stone finishes to the interior to transition the old into the new. The timeless combination of stone, glass and zinc has elevated the rear of this building and given it a new lease of life.
